1971 Corvette LS6 History: This year’s Gold Collection will salute the 1971 Corvette LS6 engine option. Only 188 Corvettes were built with the 454 CID 425 HP LS6 engine option, less than the total 3-year production of L88’s!

On March 13 and 14, 2021, spectators will have a chance to view Apollo XV Astronaut Dave Scott’s 1971 AstroVette at the Corvette Chevy Expo held at the Galveston Island Convention Center, 5600 Seawall Blvd, Galveston, Texas 77554. Show hours are Saturday 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM and Sunday 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

Meguiar’s Polishes incorporated a bright red 1971 C3 custom in its display. This car was built by Heartland Customs of Purcell (OK) and lists a large number of modifications. The paint is one of its many notable features. It’s a PPG Deltron base/clear candy red metallic with matte finish Steel Cities Gray stripes.
