The custom body panels are designed to enhance driving performance.

The front and rear suspensions have been specially modified by John Greenwood himself, enhancing the car’s agility and performance. The rear hatch is not only functional but also aesthetically aligned with the car’s curved body.

Luxurious and Practical Touches

Inside, the Corvette does not skimp on luxury or utility. It features a 165-mph speedometer, air conditioning, power-operated windows, door locks, steering, brakes, and seats. Additional comforts include cruise control and blue mirror-glass T-Tops. For safety and aesthetics, it comes with a hidden roll bar.

This model also carries the unique signatures of John Greenwood on the dash and Burt Greenwood and Zora Arkus-Duntov on an extra air cleaner cover, adding a touch of exclusivity and historical significance.

Collectible Status

With only 26,606 actual miles on the odometer, this Corvette stands out not just for its engineering and performance but also as a collectible. However, potential buyers should note that it may not be emissions-compliant in all 50 states, which could affect its usability in certain areas.

This sale highlights the enduring appeal and value of rare and modified Corvettes in the collector car market. The 1981 Corvette Greenwood Daytona Turbo is more than just a car; it’s a piece of automotive art and history sought after by enthusiasts around the globe.
