A Tribute to Our Heroes: 2016 C7 Corvette Torch Red Z51
We are looking at a special, customized 2016 C7 Corvette that pays tribute to the lives lost and the heroes who served on 9/11 and after.
The Corvette Stingray has proven time and again to be one of the most powerful, most performance-driven, most track-capable Corvettes of all time. As we reflect back to those that served on 9/11 we see Firefighters, Police, and EMS who were willing to risk their lives for others. We see their incredible strength, power, dedication, and capabilities. The amazing capacity they have, to save us at all costs.
It is hard to believe that it has been 21 years since the September 11th terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and Flight 343. It is an event that shocked the world and has greatly influenced America to this day.
Today we are going to look at a Corvette which is presented as a tribute to the victims of 9/11 and as the 343 Memorial Corvette. It’s a 2016 Corvette in Torch Red and is owned by Corvette enthusiast, Clyde Rogers.

For those who saw it, lived through it, or were affected by it, September 11th, 2001 will live on in their memories forever. This is the day that America was shaken by terrorist attacks and that precipitated our effort to wipe out terrorism across the globe.
Now 21 years since the twin towers fell, the Pentagon was hit and American Flight 93 went down in Pennsylvania, memories of that day live on and one Corvette enthusiast decided to do his part to keep future generations from forgetting by creating his 2016 9 11 Corvette tribute car.
2016 C7 Corvette Torch Red Z51 Tribute
2016 Corvette Stingray is a seventh-generation Corvette and had a 2016 C7.R Edition. Well, Clyde Rogers decided to make his own special edition, and what better reason!
Clyde Rogers has put a lot of work into this tribute display. As you walk around the Torch Red Z51 C7 customized Corvette, you can listen to the 9/11 Dispatch. The airbrushed images on the underside of the hood and trunk lid as well as the engine bay are particularly impressive. The underside of the hood and trunk lid as well as the engine bay are airbrushed in honor and remembrance of those who lost their lives and those who served.
As you look at this Corvette you see several tributes Clyde has created. There is a special display in the trunk with patches and memorabilia to give a visual image and reminder of Flight #93, the Pentagon as well as the World Trade Center, and FDNY. His Chevrolet Corvette is presented to Honor all Firefighters/Police and EMS as well as all those that lost their lives that day and those that continue to pass today.

If you are planning on going to Corvettes at Carlisle this year, you can see Clyde’s tribute Corvette on display. Corvettes at Carlisle is coming up August 25-27, 2022. This is the largest Corvette event in the world and is held at the Carlisle Fairgrounds, 1000 Bryn Mawr Rd, Carlisle, PA 17013.
