Chevrolet has released the manufacture numbers showing how many 2021 C8 mid-engine Corvettes were built and the options breakdown.  We have a printable pdf you can download – the link is at the end of the article.

There was a total of 26,216 2021 Corvette Stingrays manufactured at the GM Bowling Green Assembly plant in Kentucky.  In the first year for the 2020 C8 mid-engine Corvette, a total of 20,368 were produced. That means there are 5,848 2021s than the 2020s.  This is impressive for the 2021 Corvette Stingray due to all the setbacks related to parts shortages and other unfavorable circumstances.  You might also remember the Chevrolet stopped taking new sold orders for 2021 in the Spring due to overwhelming demand, and we know that many of our readers were unable to place their orders.

The breakdown for the 2021 C8 mid-engine Corvette Stingray is 15,112 coupes and 11,104 convertibles.

Manufacture of the 2021 Corvette Stingray began last December and continued through to September 6th, 2021, when production of the 2022 Corvette will begin.

On a side note, we are often asked what the highest production year was for Corvette?  It was 1979 when they sold 53,807 Corvettes.
