Our topic today is C3 Vette Registry at Corvettes at Carlisle. Corvettes at Carlisle is held every August in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and has been running since 1982. It has evolved into the largest All Corvette show in the country. Corvettes at Carlisle is celebrating its 40th year, and the C3 Vette Registry will be on hand to celebrate along with many other Corvette clubs on August 25 – 27, 2022.
Today we’re going to discuss the C3VR and its role at the world’s largest Corvette car show. This event features thousands of Corvettes from all generations, making it a truly unique and fun experience.
The C3 Vette Registry was founded in November 2001, has over 900 active members across the nation, and has been in attendance at Corvettes at Carlisle every year starting in 2002, making this their 21st year.
What does it mean to be part of the Corvette community?
Car clubs are communities of automotive enthusiasts who share a common interest in automobiles in general or in a specific type, such as the classic sports car, the Corvette. Some car clubs are broken down by an appreciation for a particular model year group such as the C3 Corvette. The third generation Corvette, known as the Shark model, ran from 1968 to 1982.

The C3 Vette Registry meets every year at Corvettes at Carlisle, a great place to meet other enthusiasts and form friendships. Members come from across the world to share and discuss their favorite cars. We’re looking at the C3 Vette Registry today on our blog.
A Chance to Show Off Your Car

There is no better Corvette event in the world than Corvettes at Carlisle. This annual event is the largest gathering of Corvette enthusiasts and features a wide variety of classic and modern sports cars. Come and enjoy a fun-filled weekend with other Corvette lovers.
The C3 Vette Registry will have a special parking area reserved for the C3VR members. This is easily accessible via Gate 3 at the Carlisle Fairgrounds in Carlisle Pennsylvania. The space is limited and offered on a first-come-first-served basis so you won’t want to sleep in that weekend! The dates for Corvettes at Carlisle are August 25 – 27, 2022. The Carlisle Fairgrounds is located at 1000 Bryn Mawr Rd, Carlisle, PA.

The many ways to join the C3 Vette Registry and get in on all that goes on

You can join the C3 Vette Registry online but if you are going to the Carlisle event they will also have a booth underneath the grandstand at the center of the fairgrounds.
There you can learn more about what C3VR is all about, pick up some C3VR swag, and start or renew a membership.
Adam Wartell, Founder of C3 Vette Registry tells Vette Vues that you can even pick up a free bottle of water to help keep you cool as that part of Pennsylvania is typically hot that time of the year.
Other things you can do for fun at an event like this
C3VR members get together for dinner on Thursday and Friday nights during the event. This would be a great chance to make new friends!
In the past, the group meet for dinner on Saturday but so many members returned home on Saturday they moved the date to Thursday night instead. They will meet at Hickory Ridge Restaurant, 1400 Harrisburg Pike, Carlisle, PA at 6 pm (Thursday, 8/25/2022).
On Friday, 8/26/2022, they are going to meet at Pizza Grille at 1007 Ritner Hwy, Carlisle, PA at 6 pm.

1971 Corvette
Last year at Corvettes at Carlisle (2021) the 1971 Corvette celebrated its 50th Anniversary. This year the 1972 Corvette is 50 years old. Here are some photos from last year’s show. What if I don’t own a C3 Corvette?
If you don’t own a C3, no worries. You will find on the Fun Field the modern-day C8 Corvette as well as the first-year Corvette, the 1953 C1. There are an amazing variety of display cars from club display to the special Chip’s Choice. You will find stock, modified, customs, race cars, and more!
If you enjoy shopping, you will love the Corvette vendors. Plenty of free seminars all weekend. Maybe you need another Corvette, there are a lot of cars for sale. Carlisle spotlights all aspects of the Corvette hobby.
