The 1994 Corvette was born during an era when cars were moving away from muscle cars and towards fuel efficiency. In 1994, GM made available a 350 cubic inch engine that offered 300 horsepower. The electronically controlled 4-speed automatic transmission was also included. Also included was a removable body-colored roof panel on the coupe or a soft top on the convertible. Today on our Vette Vues blog post, we are looking at the 1991 Corvette Callaway Speedster Brochure. We are also taking a look at the history of the Callaway Speedster and have a walkaround video for you to enjoy. The one-and-only, record-setting 1988 Callaway Sledgehammer was up for auction recently on Bring-a-Trailer. The auction ended and on May 23, 2021, with a high bid of $500,000, but it did not meet the reserve. In researching past auctions, we learned that in 2004 at the Scottsdale Barret-Jackson auction, it sold at no reserve for $225,500.00. In 2014 at the Mecum Kissimmee auction, the high bid was $600,000 and did not sell. It's estimated value at that time was $750,000 to $1,000,000. We will keep you posted in the future as to…
