The earliest known Airbox Corvette, Lot S140, will be auctioned Saturday, January 12, 2019, at the Mecum Kissimmee Auction. What a unique opportunity to own one of 43 Airbox Cars produced of which only twenty-two are known to exist. UPDATE: The 1957 Airbox Corvette bid to $500,000 but did not sell on the block. This award-winning 1957 Corvette is Serial No. 4007 and was completed on May 15, 1957. Chevrolet will be offering 1,000 special edition Corvettes, the 2022 Corvette Stingray IMSA GTLM Championship Edition.  The reveal came Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at the Raceway at Belle Isle Park, the site of the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix in Detroit, Michigan to be held June 11-13. 2021.  Below is the press release and video from Chevrolet Communications. The 2022 IMSA GTLM Championship Edition Corvette is based on the 3LT trim with the Z51 Performance Package. The package adds $6,595 to this model for a net price of $87,085 for the coupe and $94,085 for the convertible. We are also taking a look at the history of the Callaway Speedster and have a walkaround video for you to enjoy. The one-and-only, record-setting 1988 Callaway Sledgehammer was up for auction recently on Bring-a-Trailer. The auction ended and on May 23, 2021, with a high bid of $500,000, but it did not meet the reserve. In researching past auctions, we learned that in 2004 at the Scottsdale Barret-Jackson auction, it sold at no reserve for $225,500.00. In 2014 at the Mecum Kissimmee auction, the high bid was $600,000 and did not sell. It's estimated value at that time was $750,000 to $1,000,000. We will keep you posted in the future as to…
