The late Chip Miller started Chip's Choice.  Chip was a Corvette Enthusiasts if ever there was one.  He handpicked the cars for the display.  Since his passing, his son, Lance, has been carrying on in his dad's tradition. The National Corvette Museum earned top honors in the 2020 USA TODAY 10-Best Readers’ Choice travel award contest for Best Attraction for Car Lovers. Twenty automotive attractions were nominated by a panel of relevant experts, which includes a combination of editors from USA TODAY; editors from 10Best.com; relevant expert contributors; and sources for both these media and other Gannett properties. The public was invited to vote daily over four weeks for their favorite. The Museum earned the most votes and subsequently was named the Best Attraction for Car Lovers for 2020. Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum Today we are looking back at an article and photos by Charley Robertson at the Corvette Racing Party held at the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum in 2015.  The coverage appeared in the January 2016 issue of Vette Vues Magazine.  Petit Le Mans was the last race of the 2015 IMSA-Tudor season.  However, thanks to the Simeone Automotive Museum, Wes Wong, who is now on the board of directors for the National Corvette Museum, and Doug Fehan, Corvette Racing Program Manager, there was one more racing event to attend, or should I say party!  Dr. Simeone and the 1963 Grand Sport #002. Harbor Freight Jack Stands Recalled Harbor Freight has issued a recall which you can read at the end of this blog post.  In essence the recall document says that the problem could affect more than 450,000 6-ton jack stands produced between 2013 and 2019, and nearly 1.3 million 3-ton jack stands produced between 2012 and 2020. These jack stands that were sold can be identified by item numbers 56371 or 61196 on 3-ton models, and 61197 on 6-ton models. Harbor Freight urges anybody in possession of affected jack stands to return them to the store in exchange for a gift card equal to the price of the stands.
