Spring Carlisle 2022 has come and gone. The great COVID fear has largely passed and car events are again at the top of “car guys” to-do lists. One of the first car events every year is Spring Carlisle, always in April just as spring begins in Pennsylvania.

This year the event ran from Wednesday through Sunday, April 20 – 24. I was able to attend Friday, April 22. (Wednesday and Thursday were somewhat cold, but no snow like last year; Saturday is usually packed, and Sunday is the wind-down day.) The weather on Friday started out in the 50s, but soon was in the 60s, and ended up in the 70s – so it was about as good as you are going to get in April in PA. And the event was totally packed – including attendees and vendors. (In some years in the past there have been some empty vendor spots, but I didn’t see many this year. I guess the vendors were out in large numbers as well as all of us attendees.) As you can see from some of the photos, there were people, people, and more people in each of the rows, in the buildings, and in the car “for sale” area. But Carlisle is always fun with more good stuff to see and do than you have time available.

The Spring Carlisle Collector Car Auction was also going on at the Expo Center. In wandering through the auction cars on Friday, I saw a number of interesting Corvettes. And in looking through the auction results, I see at least 5 of the Corvettes were not sold in the auction and are still for sale. The auction results and the listings including those still for sale (with a number to call) are available on the CarlisleAuctions.com website.

If you missed Spring Carlisle, you can still make one of the remaining seven large events at Carlisle this year, plus the Fall Collector Car Auction. They are all fun and a great way to spend one day or more.

As a matter of interest, I have included photos of the event and of the Corvettes on the Carlisle Fair Grounds with asking prices (where available) – and a few photos of the crowds and vendors. (I know it’s hard to tell much about a car’s condition from a photo, but I hope it gives you an idea of what was happening at Carlisle.)
