Today on our Vette Vues blog post, we are looking at the 1991 Corvette Callaway Speedster Brochure. We are also taking a look at the history of the Callaway Speedster and have a walkaround video for you to enjoy. The one-and-only, record-setting 1988 Callaway Sledgehammer was up for auction recently on Bring-a-Trailer. The auction ended and on May 23, 2021, with a high bid of $500,000, but it did not meet the reserve. In researching past auctions, we learned that in 2004 at the Scottsdale Barret-Jackson auction, it sold at no reserve for $225,500.00. 1991 Corvette Specifications, Brochure, and Press Photos Today we are looking at some of the specifications of the 1991 Corvette followed by the brochure and some media photos. The brochure is 34 pages including the front and back covers. The C4 Corvette ran from 1984 through 1996.  1991 was the 8th year for the fourth generation Vette. Total production numbers were 20,639.  The coupes accounted for 14,967 and the convertibles accounted for 5,672.  The base sport coupe ran $32,4555 and the convertible ran $38,770.  The ZR-1 arrived in 1990.  The “King of the Hill” sold 3,032 in 1990 but in 1991 there were 2,044 that chose this option which added another $31,683 to the coupes price tag.
